For the 20th anniversary of the production platform, the FREISCHWIMMEN Festival meets 6 TAGE FREI, the festival of Baden-Württemberg's independent performing arts community. They combine to a unique festival double with 10 instead of 6 days full of theatre, performance, dance and music from Baden-Württemberg, from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, plus a sparkling urban space project, an academy of aging, parties, talks, encounters and workshops. Young talents meet all-stars, local meets international – 10 TAGE FREISCHWIMMEN is a splendid spring festival that celebrates the contemporary performing arts and asks in very different ways: How can we age together, both wildly and with dignity, on a planet whose lifespan is becoming increasingly uncertain? Because one thing is clear: we'll never be this young again!

10 Tage Freischwimmen is a cooperation between the two festivals 6 TAGE FREI and FREISCHWIMMEN, organized by RAMPE. In cooperation with FREISCHWIMMEN, the production platform for performance and theater in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and Festivalfriends, the festival association of independent performing arts in Germany. 6 TAGE FREI is made possible by the state capital Stuttgart, the Landesverband Freie Tanz- und Theaterschaffende Baden-Württemberg (LaFT) with funds from the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts and the Lotto Foundation Baden-Württemberg. The FREISCHWIMMEN Festival 2024 is funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation, supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and made possible by the City of Stuttgart and the Baden-Württemberg Foundation.
